Soroptimist International Rogue Valley Sunrise

Consumer Credit Counseling Service wants to thank Soroptimist International Rogue Valley Sunrise (SIRVS) for their donation of $350 in August 2014, to help support credit and money management counseling for low income women in the Rogue Valley! Amy Thuren is accepting a check from Jan Safley, a member of SIRVS (and our former Executive Director). 

 

Rogue Credit Union

Consumer Credit Counseling Service was featured as a non-profit in a Rogue Credit Union (RCU) promotion between April 15th and June 15th, 2014. RCU donated $.50 per click, which resulted in a generous donation of $1525! Thank you for your votes and another thank you to RCU for allowing us to participate in a program which supports organizations working to make Southern Oregon better for all of us!

Washington Federal 

Consumer Credit Counseling Service was one of two local charities being featured in July 2013 by Washington Federal. For every visit to the Washington Federal Charitable Giving page, and vote for CCCS, Washington Federal pledged a $5.00 contribution to CCCS. CCCS made the goal of 1000 votes. Thanks for voting and thanks very much to Washington Federal.
 
 

U.S. Bank Foundation

The Agency has received a grant of $1,000 from the U.S. Bank Foundation for general operating support. In making the presentation Gloria Schell the Region President of U.S. Bank of Southern Oregon and Northern California said “We support Consumer Credit Counseling Service because we believe strongly in the work they do to provide guidance to struggling families in our community. Their debt counseling, education and advocacy provide resources to many who would have no other options. U.S. Bank has always believed in serving those organizations that strengthen and enrich our communities.                        

 

Home Federal Foundation

Jan Safley accepts a check from the Home Federal Foundation from Lisa Wayland a branch operations manager with Home Federal Bank in Medford. The donation will be used to support the Agency’s credit counseling program.

 

The Meyer Memorial Trust

The Meyer Memorial Trust has awarded Consumer Credit Counseling a grant to help support a counseling position for its free credit counseling program. In June, 2012, forty-five awards worth approximately $800,000 were made under the Trust’s Grassroots Grants program which provides key support to projects important to smaller nonprofits and communities.

 

Washington Federal

Alyssa Morales, the Branch Manager for Washington Federal presents a check to Greg Jones the Agency’s Coordinator for the Money Management Program. The contribution will help to provide volunteer financial services to low income seniors in Jackson County.

 

KOBI TV

Consumer Credit Counseling recently participated in A Night of Credit Counseling with KOBI News. Executive Director Jan Safley was featured on the Five at Five segment with Craig Smullin. Counselors received 80 calls during the evening, from Brookings to Dorris, and Mt Shasta to Wolf Creek.

 

Umpqua Bank

Jan Safley, Executive Director of CCCS, accepts a donation from Susan Clark the Store Manager of the Phoenix Branch of Umpqua Bank. The funds will help support the Agency’s confidential credit counseling program in Jackson County.

 

U.S.Bankcorp Foundation

Jan Safley, Executive Director of CCCS, receives a check from Gloria Schell, U. S. Bank Region President for Southern Oregon and Northern California representing the U.S. Bancorp Foundation, to help support the Agency’s counseling and education services in the Klamath Basin and the Rogue Valley.

 

Pacific Power Foundation

Christina Kruger, the Corporate Account Manager with Pacific Power, presented a check to Jan Safley, Executive Director of Consumer Credit Counseling Service, to support the Agency’s Financial Outreach Program. The Program specifically is designed for the educational needs of low and moderate income community members in Southern Oregon.

 

Key Bank

Jane Ellison Director of Community Relations for KeyBank announced on October 5th that the Bank would be awarding CCCS $5000 to help support its Community Educational Outreach Program. The Agency, which has made 90 educational presentations in 2011, is dependent on contributions such as the one received from Key Bank to ensure that those most needing financial education receive the information that will help them be self-sufficient and able to face their economic challenges.
